This year for Steve's birthday I surprised him with a trip to Vegas. We went to dinner with the fam on the night before his actual birthday, and during dinner I told him that he was going to Vegas the next day! He was very surprised! Joel and Sarah and Kevin and Sarah went with us as well. We left on Friday and stayed at Treasure Island, which has recently been redone. We actually got a room with a nice view, which you can't really tell from the pic below.
Friday night we all went to dinner at Lawry's. The service was fantastic and so was the food and the company. They even had carolers who went from table to table and sang whatever holiday tune you wanted to hear. In this shot, they are singing Steve "Have yourself a happy little birthday...." It was very cute. :) Everyone had prime rib of course, and I got salmon, which everyone thought I was crazy for. But it was great!

The next night we went to see Lance Burton. Steve's mouth was agape almost the entire time. I highly recommend his show, as it was very entertaining and definitely awe-inspring! We ran into this guy in the pub in the Monte Carlo.
They also had jsut about every beer you can imagine on tap!
Besides the dinner at Lawry's and the show, we basically just gambled and drank, the usual in Vegas. No one won any money, as usual. We each had a bit of a run on some of the machines, but nothing to write home about. We also discovered Svedka clementine vodka, which will now be a staple in our household. :) Great weekend!
